High in the mountains, far from human eyes, Umbretta lives in quiet exile within a hidden cave. Once feared across the cosmos, she now waits alone, her only son having left to earn a living in a world that does not know what she truly is.

Peace is broken when a frightened girl named Jasmine stumbles into her refuge.

Separated from her sister during a walk through the forest, Jasmine has witnessed something no human should: an ancient dryad lurking in the wild, preying on travelers and corrupting those it captures. Desperate and out of hope, she begs the silent shadowspawn for help.

Umbretta answers.

With calm precision and overwhelming power, she hunts the creature through its own domain and brings the nightmare to an end. But victory leaves behind more than relief. In the aftermath, Jasmine is offered a choice that will change her life forever.
